What is your biggest piece of advice?
I have had the pleasure of working in this industry a long while now and have done close to 1000 weddings. I have seen the industry propel forward at warp speed due to the massive number of publications, and of course reality television.

My biggest piece of advice would be to dream big, stay true to your own person vision of what you want to look like the day of your wedding-but be realistic. Many times, Brides will bring us “tearsheets” or photos from a magazine and want to look exactly like the model. What you have to understand is that first- to get close to that same look, it would be helpful if you had similar features as the model, hair color and style, skin tone, etc. -Second, it takes a small village of people to create that one shot-a controlled environment, a team of many artist that have multiple assistants each, and not only an amazing photographer, but an incredible retoucher.

Yes, there are professionals that get hired to digitally retouch that one image in more ways imaginable before it goes to print. However, with that being said, you can still take people’s breath away by being the most stunning Bride ever!
